The Three Pashas refers to Enver Pasha, Talat Pasha, and Cemal Pasha, who had great influence on state administration in the final period of the Ottoman Empire. These three leaders were prominent members of the Committee of Union and Progress and made decisions that shaped the fate of the Ottoman Empire, especially during the First World War. Enver Pasha, as Minister of War, was responsible for the army and played an important role in the Ottoman Empire’s entry into the war. Talat Pasha, first Minister of the Interior and later Grand Vizier, was the most powerful figure in domestic politics. Cemal Pasha, as Minister of the Navy and Governor of Syria, stood out particularly for his administration in the Arab regions.
