Gypsy Girl Mosaic Printed Natural Stone with Frame
The Gypsy Girl Mosaic is a Roman-period mosaic discovered during excavations at the ancient city of Zeugma in Gaziantep and has attracted great worldwide interest. Depicting the face of a woman, the mosaic draws attention with the depth of her gaze and its detailed craftsmanship. Because of her curly hair and facial features, she has been called the “Gypsy Girl.” The mosaic is regarded as one of the finest examples of Roman mosaic art. The original mosaic is displayed at the Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Gaziantep. Owing to both its artistic value and historical importance, it is considered one of Türkiye’s most significant cultural heritage works.
